Ryan Meara (b. 1993) is an American photographer, based in Chicago, Illinois. He utilizes 35mm monochromatic film to abstract the built environment, distilling it into basic structures of geometric forms. His visual style places emphasis on highly organized and orthogonal compositions, aiming to create images that are at once ethereal, hyper-flat and on a whole “don’t seem quite real”.
